Trey Coffey

Trey is a pediatric hospitalist and Associate Chief Medical Officer for Quality and Medical Affairs at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Since joining SickKids in 2005, she has contributed to research on the epidemiology of hospital harm and evaluation of complex safety interventions, and has led transformational initiatives locally and internationally. Trey has previously served as the Associate Director of the U of T Centre for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety and as Associate Clinical Director of Children’s Hospitals Solutions for Patient Safety. On May 5, 2025 Trey will assume the role of Chief Quality Officer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
