Mike Schweer

Michael E. Schweer, MA, LPCC-S is the Clinical Director of the Behavior Safety Team (BST) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. His work with BST focuses on identifying patient behavioral risk, developing preventative safety interventions, and training staff to assess for behavioral risk and respond to behavioral crisis in medical settings. The work of BST has led to a reduction in OSHA level staff injuries related to patient aggressive interactions and been a pioneer in building systems to address behavior safety in hospital medical settings.
