Mike Fetzer, BSISE

Mike Fetzer is a Manager in the Quality Improvement Services Department at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH) in Columbus, Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Mike previously held the roles of Quality Manger, Supervisor and Industrial Engineer with Siemens Energy and Automation and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

In addition to leading a team of Service Line Quality Improvement Coordinators, Mike supports QI projects and facilitates QI teams focused on surgical site infection reduction, catheter associated urinary tract infection reduction, nephrotoxic acute kidney injury reduction and various Perioperative Services initiatives. He teaches Quality Improvement science as part of the Quality Improvement Essentials Course at NCH and has served as a guest speaker at Dayton Children’s Hospital’s Intermediate Quality Improvement Course. Mike is a co-author of several QI publications and has presented at local and national conferences.
