Leah Konwinski | Director Human Factors & Innovation | Corewell Health & Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Leah Konwinski, MS, CPE leads the Human Factors & Innovation program for the Corewell Health Enterprise. Her improvement work has historically been focused within the Grand Rapids area, including the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. In this role, Leah is responsible for driving the organization’s proactive improvement efforts around patient safety, quality, and experience, and coaching on human-centered systems analysis and design to improve organizational reliability and lead breakthrough improvement. She is internationally recognized as a deep thinker and practitioner of human factors and ergonomics, and a passionate advocate for human-centered design in the healthcare field. Before her tenure in healthcare, Leah worked in the automotive, food production, aviation, engineering, and product design industries as an independent Human Factors consultant. Leah received her Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of Guelph and her Masters of Human Kinetics with a focus on Biomechanics and Human Factors from the University of Windsor, both in Ontario, Canada.
