Lauren Edwards

Lauren Edwards, BSN, RN: Lauren is a pediatric critical care nurse by background and currently serving as a Performance Manager with Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital Department of Quality & Safety. She is responsible for leading multiple hospital acquired condition reduction groups including CLABSI, CAUTI and Unplanned Extubation. She also helps to facilitate simulation opportunities for staff around communication and teamwork during a Pediatric Medical Emergency. She is part of a team that collates, analyzes and implements changes using quality improvement methodologies when a patient safety event is reported. She is also a co-leader for SPS’s Safety Disparities Accelerated Improvement Cohort. It’s an honor to collaborate and network with other hospitals participating in Solutions for Patient Safety.
