Kelly Friesner-Gephart is an advanced practice provider and the clinical leader for a novel diabetes/insulin inpatient consult team that cares for patients with diabetes and/or insulin related needs. With insulin being a high risk medication, her team is focused on proactively identifying unique clinical situations that indicate a further need for additional collaboration and oversight. Kelly has conducted numerous proactive safety huddles to ensure the best care and practices are being utilized at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
