Jonathan Finkelstein

Jonathan Finkelstein, MD, MPH is Chief Patient Safety and Quality Officer at Boston Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics and of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Finkelstein completed his MD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and residency training and research fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has over 2 decades of experience as a pediatric health services in research focused on implementing care improvement interventions for children. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing learning from safety events and quality improvement across the institution, and promoting a vibrant and effective high reliability culture at Boston Children’s Hospital. He also teaches health services research skills and implementation science methods to a range of learners from students to experienced faculty members, and co-directs the Harvard-wide Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship program.
