Eileen Murtagh Kurowski

Eileen Murtagh Kurowski, MD MS is the Chief Safety Officer at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) and faculty in the Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence. She is a practicing Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician at CCHMC where co-founded a mental health task force focused on patient and employee safety. Dr. Murtagh is a CCHMC Quality Scholar and graduate of Intermediate Improvement Science Series (where she now teaches) and Advanced Improvement Methodology courses. In her current role, Dr. Murtagh oversees institutional patient and employee safety and clinical regulatory efforts, leads quality improvement efforts, and coaches and develops leaders and teams to improve safety performance.
