Originally from Detroit Michigan. Worked as a trauma RCP at the Detroit Receiving Hospital and University Health Center affiliated with Wayne State University. Relocated to Atlanta in 1984, performed adult and NICU patient care at Crawford Long Hospital.
Started working @ Egleston Children’s Hospital in 1986. Have remained at CHOA Egleston for 36+ years. I have worked in every pediatric sub-specialty ICU and floor, supervised the trauma ER. Previously a member of the transport team and also previously an ECMO Specialist. Obtained my BS degree in 1996 from Georgia State University. Later achieved a Master in Business in 2003 from Troy State in Alabama.
I’ve been in my current position as Manager of the Egleston Respiratory Care Department since 1999.
I have been instrumental in the development of therapist-driven Asthma and Bronchiolitis protocols. Worked collaboratively with the CF Academy team to develop our current CF protocols. Working with the Unplanned Extubation team since 2008. Presenter at the Children’s Hospital of America for UE prevention strategies.
