Annabelle Chua

Annabelle Chua, MD completed medical school (1999) and pediatrics residency (2002) at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (2002) and her pediatric nephrology fellowship at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital/Stanford University School of Medicine (2005). She worked at Texas Children’s Hospital from 2005-2013, then Levine Children’s Hospital from 2013-2015 prior to moving to Duke Children’s Hospital in 2015. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Nephrology, and has served as Medical Director of Pediatric Dialysis since 2017. She served as a subject matter expert from 2017-2023 and as a co-leader since 2023 for the Solutions for Patient Safety Nephrotoxic AKI pioneer cohort. Outside of work, she loves to bake and spend time with her husband and 3 children (ages 13, 11 and 9).
