Andrea Pruitt

Andrea Pruitt is an epidemiologist with over six years of experience in infection control and prevention. Andrea has a background in research microbiology specifically vaccine preventable diseases, and spent eight years with the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control in Atlanta. Andrea is a member of the BSI HAC Team that primarily aims to reduce and prevent central-line associated blood stream infections utilizing quality-driven and evidence-based methods for staff education and engagement, and patient-family involvement. She received her Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida with a concentration in Infection Control and is currently certified in infection control (CIC).
