Amy Parker BSN, RN, CPN

Amy Parker is a Quality Clinical Educator at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a role she had held since 2017. In this role, she works with all the HAC teams at Children’s, and is the co-lead of the PIVIE HAC team. As part of her PIVIE prevention work, she has recruited, and trained unit based PIVIE Champions to mentor bedside nurses on infiltrate assessment and management. She regularly provides focused HAC/Patient Safety education to new Providers and Nurses, additionally focusing on PIVIE education as part of the Nurse Resident Program. In addition to her HAC work, Amy is one of the leads of the Safety Coach program at Children’s, training staff on Error Prevention and Culture of Safety.

Amy is a pediatric nurse by background and has worked at Children’s for 27 years and has held several leadership roles in inpatient units.
